Download and keep a backup
Download the available backup archives and store your website copy privately.

What you are downloading
A recovery point may contain one archive or several downloadable parts. Check the archive labels before you begin. Website files, a database, and a combined archive represent different contents; downloading one part does not necessarily give you a complete copy.
Download the archives
- Open Websites in your Kiro client area and choose Manage website for the correct domain.
- Open Backups and wait for the recovery-point list to finish loading.
- Find a finished recovery point. If an archive selector appears, choose the files, database, or combined archive you need.
- Select Download. Your browser may open a new tab while the download is prepared or handed off.
- If the recovery point has separate parts, return to the selector and download each part needed for your recovery plan.
Check your browser’s downloads list for completion. A tab opening or an empty file appearing is not enough to establish that the archive finished downloading.
Verify and label your copy
- Keep the domain, backup creation time, and archive part together in your own records.
- Check that the downloaded file has a plausible size and can be read by an appropriate archive tool.
- Keep related files and database archives together so they are not confused with copies from different dates.
Do not delete the hosted recovery point solely because a download started. An archive that opens successfully is useful evidence, but a tested recovery procedure gives stronger assurance than a filename alone.
