Edit pages and posts
Make content changes in WordPress, preview them, and verify what visitors actually see.
Choose the right content
Open your website through Kiro’s WordPress tab. In WordPress, Pages holds content such as your About or Contact page; Posts is typically used for dated articles and news. Find the existing item before creating a replacement so you keep its established address and links.
A site built with a separate page builder may open that builder instead of the standard editor. Use the editing workflow already in place for the website. If Kiro manages its design, request a change through your project workspace when that service is available to your account.
Make an edit
- Open Pages or Posts and choose the item to edit. To write something new, choose Add New in the appropriate section.
- In the block editor, select the paragraph, heading, image, or other block you want to change. The block’s toolbar and settings apply to that selection.
- Use the block inserter to add content. Keep heading levels logical and choose clear link text.
- Save a new item as a draft while it is unfinished. Use the preview or View control to inspect the result before publishing.
- When ready, use the editor’s Publish, Update, or Save control as appropriate, and confirm that the save completed.
Check the public page
Open the published page outside the editor and check it at desktop and phone widths. Verify spelling, image descriptions, links, and the next action a visitor should take. A successful save does not tell you whether the page reads well or its form goes to the intended place.
If the public page looks unchanged, first confirm that you saved the correct page on the correct domain. Then follow the cache guide. Avoid recreating the page or repeatedly clicking Publish to solve an old cached view.
Keep changes contained
For a large layout change, create a backup and work in staging first. If you need help, give Kiro the page address, the existing text or section, and the exact replacement you want. Attach images through your project request rather than sending login details.
